Studley

Graham (Studley) Cornes
Graham is a living legend in South Australia. He has a distinguished career in Australian Rules Football, playing more than 350 games for his beloved Glenelg. He also coached the club to back-to-back South Australian National Football League premierships in 1985 and 1986. Graham spent a season with North Melbourne in the AFL, was playing-coach of South Adelaide for two seasons. He is perhaps best known around Australia as the inaugural senior coach of the Adelaide Crows in the Australian Football League. Graham is now one of South Australia’s most popular media personalities, joining Stephen Rowe for the top-rating afternoon sports show on Adelaide radio station 5AA. He also has a regular column in the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper, and football commentary on the Seven Television Network. Graham is also a devoted family man, with his wife Nicole and their two young daughters, as well as his high-profile football-playing sons Chad and Kane. And on top of all of this, he’s the star attraction of the All Star Rock Band!

Tim Donovan
He’s the newly appointed Musical Director of Cornesy’s 5AA Allstars. Timmy Donovan is one of those rare musical talents who can pick up almost any instrument and play it like a master. Music is pretty much Tim’s life – he teaches by day and plays by night. Tim’s many bands have included Dakota Smash, Vibe, Popzilla, Party On, and Jellyhead. For 10 years he was also musical director and front man of The Little Big Horns Big Band. Tim has played with artists such as Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix Experience), jazz greats Don Burrows and James Morrison, actor Gary Sweet, Doc Neeson (Angels), as well as Adelaide artists Dwight Adams and Catherine Lambert. He is now the Music Coordinator at St Michael’s College in Adelaide.

Billy

Bill Schapel
Bill has been playing drums and singing in bands since he was 15. For much of the 1970s he toured Australia with the showband Benjamin Courtenay, including backing Normie Rowe on a tour of Queensland. The band also finished second in South Australia’s Battle of the Bands competition. On returning to his home state, Bill formed a new band called Ben from the remnants of BC, and was soon joined by former Twilights bass player John Bywaters. Bill and John’s musical relationship continued for many years, including with Cornesy’s All Star Rock Band. Bill later joined former members of Travis and Fahrenheit 451 to form Muskat, a leading Adelaide band which had a long and successful run.

Billy loves to play and occasionally puts a four-piece Muskat gig together just for fun. He almost prefers singing lead and harmonies to anything else, but with a new DW drum kit and his other interests such as teaching and racing his historic MGTC, life is pretty darn good at the moment. Bill’s two adult daughters and his lovely, long-suffering wife Jenny occasionally have to remind him that he’s not a kid anymore. But he doesn’t take much notice. Rock on!

Dean Fioretti
Dean is our newest member and brings youth, energy and new ideas to the band.   He is well studied in music at the Uni of Adelaide and teaches several students in music.   He's also a proud dad and a family man.

Greg

Greg Mallen
Greg joined Cornesy’s All Star Rock Band in 2008. He’s one of Adelaide's talented guitarists, and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have him on board. Over recent years, Greg has guested with many of Adelaide's top bands including Club Schmaltz, Crossfire, Wise Guys, Deuces Wild, Show Us Your Hits and The Reporters. He was a founding member of Muskat back in the mid-70s. Greg is the self-proclaimed band wiz (every band has one) who designs & builds guitar effect pedals and modifies his own and other people's guitars. Greg also adds to the vocal harmonies of the band.

David Heath
‘Heathy’ brings a touch of showmanship – not to mention several different characters and usually plenty of mayhem – to Cornesy’s All Star Rock Band. Whether it’s Bruce Presley (Elvis’ 23rd cousin twice removed), Bruce Ausborne (Australia’s answer to Ozzy Osbourne), or his newest friend Boy Bruce (a former ‘acquaintance’ of Boy George), David adds plenty of colour and humour to a show. David is a journalist by profession, and has worked in the Adelaide and Melbourne media for more than 20 years – including seven years at Adelaide radio station 5AA. He even spent a little while working in the Canberra press gallery. In recent years, David has worked as a State Government and local government media adviser, and now finds himself in the education system as a writer/editor with the SACE Board of South Australia.
